This vintage Qashqai Persian woollen rug is a striking example of tribal artistry, woven with deeply rooted cultural symbolism and expressive geometric structure. Its field is arranged around a dramatic series of interlocking diamond medallions, each filled with intricate, small-scale floral and animal motifs, rendered in dark navy, soft ivory, and deep terracotta against a faded crimson ground.

The surrounding diamonds are densely packed with symbolic patterns, stylised rosettes, stars, and abstract birds all motifs commonly used by the nomadic Qashqai weavers to reflect their connection to nature and movement.
