This vintage Persian Qashqai kilim is a stunning example of tribal weaving, bursting with energy and colour.

It features a bold red ground with three large central diamond medallions in ochre-yellow, each filled with stylised geometric motifs typical of Qashqai symbolism. The surrounding field is sparsely decorated, allowing the vivid medallions to command attention. Small checkerboard lattice patterns in earthy tones in the corners add balance and texture. The multiple borders are richly layered with zigzag, diamond, and stepped motifs in a vivid palette of reds, blues, greens, and ivory, framed by delicate guard stripes.
