This gorgeous Vintage Moroccan tapestry kilim is handwoven in a soft natural woollen ivory ground with a simple brown linear border and sparse geometric ornamentation. Four large square motifs with intricate tribal designs anchor the corners. At the same time, a central diamond medallion in brown, rust, and cream, with touches of blue, is surrounded by smaller geometric symbols and stylised bird-like motifs. The minimalist open field emphasises individual motifs, creating a refined yet distinctly Moroccan tribal aesthetic, with traditional fringe at both ends.
