The rich, natural colour palette is dominated by deep indigo, rust, madder red, soft camel, and subtle accents of ivory, all derived from natural dyes, giving the rug a warm and mellow aged patina.

Multiple narrow borders surround the central panel, each filled with intricate, small-scale geometric patterns, including hooked shapes, latticework, and stylised floral or star motifs, adding layers of detail and rhythm. The main border, broader and more commanding, features a repeating geometric rosette or star pattern, framed by finer zigzag or meander stripes, characteristic of Timuri borders.
