This is a vintage Qashqai cushion, handwoven in wool by tribal weavers of southern Persia. The design features a bold, abstract central motif in black, composed of interlocking geometric forms and stylised curls, possibly symbolising protection or tribal emblems. Flanking the central element are two intricate vertical motifs resembling stylised birds or totemic creatures, rich in linear detail.

The background is a rich, sun-washed terracotta with faded pink, olive, and muted beige accents, adding depth and age-worn beauty. The lower edge is adorned with a decorative band in indigo and ochre, enhanced by hand-tied tassels and remnants of original fringe, showcasing its tribal authenticity.

This cushion embodies the spirit of Qashqai nomadic weaving, with its raw elegance, symbolic geometry, and earthy colour palette. It is perfect as a characterful accent in traditional or eclectic interiors.
